Henry Research Group



This site contains information about the research activities of the Henry Research group located in the Department of Chemistry at Colorado State University.  Research in the group falls under the broad categories of Bioanalytical and Environmental Chemistry with an emphasis on the use of miniaturized analysis systems (also called Lab-on-a-Chip technology) to address important questions in these fields.  Current projects range from the development of miniaturized biosensors to the use of microchip electrophoresis to study the composition of atmospheric aerosols.  Major techniques that are used include chromatography, electrophoresis, electrochemistry, microfabrication, and basic biology.  More details about research projects can be found under the research tab above.

Colorado State University is located in Fort Collins, CO on the edge of the beautiful Rocky Mountains.  Outdoor recreation abound in all seasons in the surrounding areas. GK-12 Program

The Henry group is involved in the CSU GK-12 program.  The goal of this project is to translate the research on-going in our laboratories to teaching opportunities for local high schools.  More details on this project can be found on the GK-12 website.



Biomedical Engineering

Dr. Henry is a core faculty member in the School of Biomedical Engineering at Colorado State University.
